This week, Goody Goody‘s wine expert has chosen a Champagne that’s perfectly structured with floral notes and fine bubbles for our Top Picks: Wines of Savor Dallas series.
Other wine recommendations from Goody Goody’s wine consultant can be found in The Dallas Morning News every Sunday. Also, check in-store displays and the Top Picks series of this blog for more recommended wines of the week and other selections from Savor Dallas 2015 & 2016.
This week, the Top Pick is:
CHARLES MIGNON COMTE DE MARNE BRUT ROSÉ
The Champagne Charles Mignon style is best described as having structure, finesse and purity – and this week’s Top Pick is a perfect example.
Cuvée Comte de Marne Rosé will charm you with its shining color; between grey and orangey, it is topped with a nice ring of fizziness making discover very fine bubbles. On the nose, the wine initially displays floral notes with a subtle rose fragrance. With a round mouth, lightly spicy, you can discover intense aromas, where hazelnuts dominate this cuvee with apricot.
Harmonious with the nose as in mouth, you can enjoy this tasty Champagne during aperitif or for any other occasions with a smoked salmon or a chocolate cake.
